Coaches

Why?

I created ETP Coaching because I love running and sports, but I also saw a problem that I could help to solve.

Too many runners and sports people focus on an outcome goal. It’s winning or nothing. It’s a PB or failure.

If you’re an elite athlete, firstly, welcome, but this coaching philosophy isn’t for you. Or maybe it is?

Our clients are the everyday runner, the amateur sports person, the Mum, the Dad, man or woman, the boy or girl that just wants to be the very best THEY can be. It’s not about comparison it’s about the uniqueness of your life, your situation and your goals.

A huge piece of the puzzle that makes that up, is the process.

And that is what ETP Coaching is all about - ENJOYING THE PROCESS.

We are here to not only help you achieve your goals, but to also put more emphasis on the process and the absolute joy in training!

It’s about Your High Performance, not elite performance.

Meet the Coaches

This all began with a desire to help others and share my knowledge. To turn my “hobby running” into something more.

I get a great mental boost when I’m running and I want to do all I can to get as many people as I can to see what they can do when given the right opportunity.

I am a qualified Coach in Running Fitness (CiRF) with England Athletics. I have trained “couch to 5K” runners, marathon runners, triathletes and 100 mile Ultra marathon runners, but that is just a taste of what I have helped my athletes to achieve.

I played rugby for over 20 years, and have been involved in many different sports throughout my life, including rugby, golf, netball, touch rugby, rugby league, basketball, and football.

As a coach, my aim is to give you the skills and knowledge to be able to run the race that you want to, but to also understand the reasoning behind each and every workout we do. This isn’t a dictatorship, its a partnership.

It has been great to have the burden of weekly session planning removed. On a weekly basis, or sometimes 2 / 3 times a week I give Rob feedback on (key) sessions, which he listens to and understands, and adapts the plan as necessary.
